Were you wary about taking on another girlfriend role in "Rock Star"? I thought it was fun. There was no girl part in it when we started, so I had fun creating this girl out of nowhere. And it was a true story [it's inspired by the story of Ripper Owens, an unknown picked to take over as lead singer of Judas Priest], and I thought that was interesting.
As a successful TV actress, are you nervous doing a movie? Now, here's the deal: Friends is so successful that, if you make a movie and it's not as big as Friends, then you get people telling you, "How dare you make a movie? Keep your day job, dammit!" You married one of the sexiest men on the planet [Brad Pitt] and you're rich and famous. Do you live the rock and roll lifestyle? It's not as exciting, I'd have to say. When you're a rock star, you're off on tour, doing all the things that go along with that. As an actor, you have be up in the morning, so you make your dinner and go to bed. "Rock Star" is set in the 80s. Are we going to see some of that decade's fashions on Friends? Don't you think that should just stay where it was? That would be a bad decade to bring back. Were you into 80s heavy metal? I was a Duran Duran freak - and freak is the perfect word to describe my behaviour during that decade! |
