Judge Jill Robbins of Los Angeles Superior Court signed the divorce papers Friday, but they don't take effect until October 2 -- at which time either actor may remarry.
The documents did not reveal how their possessions will be divided. Hollywood hunk Pitt, 41, is reported to have begun a relationship with high-octane actress Angelina Jolie, although neither has confirmed it. Pitt and Aniston, 36, were married in a lavish seaside ceremony in Malibu, north of Los Angeles, in June 2000, after meeting on a blind date in 1998. For four and a half years they were Hollywood's leading couple -- blond, beautiful, famous and rich. Aniston, the former star of the television series "Friends," filed for divorce March 25, after the two announced a separation in January. She has kept mum about why. |
